If we draw a cowboy on a horse, we simultaneously draw the shape around the cowboy on his horse. By creating what we intend, we also create what we don't intend. The shape of the cowboy on his horse and the shape around the cowboy on his horse are mutually dependent. No cowboy on his horse, no shape around the cowboy on his horse. No shape around the cowboy on his horse, no cowboy on his horse.

The artist's fingers holding the pencil, the pencil and the paper are one. All useless without the other. Mutually dependent, working in harmony until a drawing of a cowboy on his horse, and the background around them, emerges on the paper.
